Vow to be Chic and Wanderable: A Stylish Partnership

Our Secret Weapon for Saving Money & Looking Like Audrey Hepburn.

Vow to Be Chic and Wanderable have teamed up to offer a pretty sweet gift. Sign up for Vow to Be Chic today and enter code WANDERABLE at checkout for a free try-on (valued at $19.95)!

Vow to be Chic  is a pretty magical idea. We admit it leaves us wondering why no one had thought of this brilliance before. You can rent the hippest designer bridesmaid dresses, as well as gorgeous “Little White Dresses,” (your go-to for looking bridal and elegant at rehearsal dinners & engagement parties) online for as little as $50. They take the stress out of adorning yourself for your wedding or your best friend’s wedding, so that you can look forward to the fun rather than dread the financial burden. In their words, “an affordable, convenient, and stylish alternative to the status quo. Bringing an age-old tradition into the 21st century.”

We got the inside scoop from co-founder Amy, and basically here’s how it works: First, you browse their carefully curated dresses online (i.e. from your bed). You’ll find all of the dreamiest brands like Monique Lhuillier, Jenny Yoo, Nicole Miller, Jill Stuart, and countless others. Then, to find out your sizes, your bridesmaids can go to their local tailor or dry cleaner to get measured and submit your measurements, and for your own Little White Dress, you just submit your normal dress size. Third, you can place your order for a rental, or you can try on the dress before you commit. Just select the try-on only option upon checkout and they’ll send you the dress in two sizes to try on in the comfort of your own home.

Better yet, have a try-on party with the bridesmaids and determine which size fits everyone best (don’t forget the mimosas). Not only are we swooning over their ethereal designer dresses…we love the complimentary consult with every rental. One of their bridal stylists works closely with every bridal party to make sure her vision comes to life.

Try-on parities sound like the best idea ever, so we want to make that happen for you, Wanderers.  Head over to Vow to be Chic now  and enter code WANDERABLE at check out for your free try on!  Not in a wedding? You can gift your code to another bride-to-be or her bridesmaids.

We can’t speak highly enough of this fabulous brand which we feel is something of a soul sister to Wanderable, and we are excited to make it even easier for you to feel chic on your wedding day. Fall into the bliss of wedding prep, and forget the unnecessary stress. Find your inner glamazon.

Cruise Control: Grow Your Sea Legs with AmaWaterways and Wanderable

Ever considered a river cruise? Well, you should– with Amawaterways and Wanderable.

Swiss Cities: Basel

As lovers of the water, we are very proud to announce our partnership with AmaWaterways, a true revolutionary in the field of river cruising. This sweet, family-owned business specializes in custom ships built to make your voyage truly comfortable and majestic. We went to the trouble of going to Paris & Normandy just for you, Wanderers, so you can peep some pics from our glamorous, cozy, magical trip with Amawaterways, below. It was really hard…but, you know, someone’s gotta do it.

River cruises are a great option for all ages of travelers…more seasoned couples who might be enjoying a second honeymoon or renewing of their vows, or young spritely things just venturing out onto the ocean for the first time. With so many different activities and experiences available on the ship, the experience is whatever you desire it to be– the daily tours are top notch (and their are multiple ones each day, depending on your interests) but if you’re into going it alone, grab a bike from the boat and venture out. You won’t be disappointed.

Normandy by Bike:  A must

Did we mention that Amawaterways was an all-inclusive trip? This is a big plus: you don’t have to get nervous that you’re racking up crazy bill.  You can sit back, relax and enjoy every moment. This gives you the freedom to try new things, hang out with new people (your fellow cruise mates will become permanent pen-pals by the last day) while getting a holistic travel experience.

Plus, Amawaterways likes to keep it small: so you’re not getting onto some monster cruise liner.  With only about 200 people on board (including the crew) the personal touch can be seen in everything they do.  The cruise director actually came up to our group on the second night and told us about an off-the-beaten-path, 2 star Michelin restaurant in Caudebec, inside the chef’s house. He offered to make us reservations because he knew we were foodies.  Seriously, you just don’t get service like that every day.

Rudi, the president of Ama, discusses his philosophy: “We love what we do — providing our guests with the best travel experiences possible. In fact, ‘Ama’ is derived from the Latin word for “love.” It is a concept that permeates every aspect of our river cruises, from the design of our ships to the development of our itineraries to the high levels of service we deliver to our guests.”

AmaWaterways is truly a stellar brand, and we are thrilled to announce to you that we’re launching 5 itineraries with them today. They are: Douro, Portugal;  East AfricaProvence & SpainVietnam, Cambodia, & the Mekong and Paris & Normandy.  Plus, the first three couples that registry get some special treats: chocolate and champagne in their room, and a a private champagne reception with the captain before the welcome dinner.

So, Wanderers, even though a river cruise might not necessarily be the fist thing you think about when you think about going to Europe or Africa, we dare you to think differently.  With Amawaterways and Wanderable, it’s all about five-star service, amazing experiences, meeting new people, and exploring a different world.
