Meanwhile, read below for a few highlights from their honeymoon story along with a link to their honeymoon registry.

“Another surreal experience was seeing Dingle and the surrounding (majestic) landscape while riding atop Doire and Cookie with Dingle Horse Riding. The stars aligned and we somehow ended up with a private tour, just the two of us and our very friendly and knowledgeable guide Katie.

I will admit that I may have had to wipe my eyes as we stood at the top of the hill feeling the warm sunshine and cool breeze while feasting our eyes on Dingle, the bay, ruins in the distance, and the endless green, rolling hills.

Later that day, with recommendations from our gracious Pax House host John, we had a delicious meal, poked around in shops, and then lucked out with front row seats for live music and a pub performance from world champion Irish dancer David Geaney.

We had been advised to take our car down Slea Head Drive, which hugs the cliffs and overlooks the ocean, and we were not disappointed. Not only did we get an eye-opening history lesson when we explored the famine cottages and prehistoric beehive huts, but we got to snuggle a baby lamb at a roadside farm!”

Stay tuned as we’ll be posting Ashley & David’s entire honeymoon story in the coming weeks.

In the meantime, be sure to check out their INCREDIBLE honeymoon registry page.

Top 7 Things to Do on Your Turks and Caicos Honeymoon

With white sand beaches, turquoise seas, year-round sunshine, and world-class luxury resorts, the Turks and Caicos Islands make for an unforgettable island honeymoon destination built on a foundation of sun, sand, and sea.

From thrilling underwater adventures to unique excursions on land, these are seven of our favorite activities and experiences for any honeymoon to this idyllic Caribbean destination.

Hit the Beaches

With soft, white sands and perfect turquoise waters, no activity better resembles the Turks and Caicos than lounging the day away on a gorgeous beach.

Grace Bay, the biggest and arguably best, is home to luxury resorts and is protected by a beautiful barrier reef system. East of Grace Bay is Leeward Beach: quieter, more reserved, and perfect for calm ocean activities like kayaking and stand up paddleboarding thanks to its sheltered channels. Shallow waters and frequent winds make Long Bay Beach a favorite for water sports like kitesurfing.

Scuba Diving

Divers will be impressed with the sheer abundance and accessibility of otherworldly sites all throughout the TCI. Sand chutes, canyons, and cracks along these dramatic walls provide excellent swim-through opportunities, while sightings of Caribbean reef fish, invertebrate sea creatures, and vibrant corals are plentiful.

Consider staying in a dive resort, like Bohio on Grand Turk, to combine diving trips in with your accommodation, or link up on your own with a certified operator like Dive Provo.

Horseback Riding

For a classically romantic experience, take to horseback riding. Look no further than Provo Ponies to facilitate the magical experience of trodding along scenic trails and splashing through the turquoise waters.

With a fleet of 25 horses and ponies, this working stable operates two tours daily and offers private rides for honeymooning couples. Friendly guides will happily photograph you throughout the journey, even when you’re waist deep with your horse in the calm ocean.

Snorkeling

Sporting the third largest reef system on the planet, the Turks and Caicos Islands offer immediate access to the vibrant and colorful marine life that reside in its oceans. Just gear up and jump in to discover colorful schools of fish, Caribbean squid, flower coral and plenty more, thanks to the ocean’s incredible clarity and rich sea life.

On Providenciales, head to Bight Beach (Coral Gardens) or Smith’s Reef to spot abundant reef fish and other sea creatures while swimming in dazzling aquamarine water. Consider joining a boat tour like Big Blue Collective for a day filled with discovering the best locations.

Visit to Iguana Island

Nicknamed for the endangered Rock Iguanas which occupy the island in massive amounts, Little Water Cay is a short boat trip or kayak paddle off the coast of Providenciales. While getting to the island may be half of the fun, observing the large lizards in their natural habitat is a pure delight, and the island – as a preserved nature reserve – also boasts fantastic beaches and snorkel opportunities.

Golf

Break up the daily routine of lounging, swimming, and dining by hitting the links at Provo Golf Club. Referred as the “jewel in the Turks and Caicos’ crown,” this 18-hole course is consistently ranked one of the finest in the Caribbean.

Dinner and Drinks at da Conch Shack and Rum Bar

Eat with your feet in the sand at this beachfront restaurant which serves everything from fresh seafood (a variety of conch preparations) to jerk chicken and creative vegetarian options. Wash it all down with any number of rum drinks or a local Turks Head brew, and you’ll begin to understand why this is one of the most popular restaurants in all of Provo (and all the TCI for that matter).

The 6 Best Hotels in Los Cabos for a Honeymoon

Los Cabos is one of Mexico’s most picturesque and popular honeymoon destinations.

Read on for our top hotel picks for a once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon getaway to Los Cabos, Mexico.

Las Ventanas al Paraíso, a Rosewood Resort The name translates to “window to paradise,” which is exactly the feeling you get upon checking into your spacious suite or villa, each with a private patio. The resort takes romance seriously: There’s an entire department dedicated to the art of love. Whether you book a live musical serenade, surprise your spouse by cooking him/her dinner (under the supervision of a talented Las Ventanas chef), or take a sunset horseback ride down the beach, your stay is guaranteed to be unforgettable.

One&Only Palmilla, Los Cabos There are a few reasons why celebs like Jennifer Anniston and Ryan Seacrest are regulars at Palmilla: The butler service is top-notch, two of the restaurants are helmed by celebrity chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, and the resort also has direct access to Playa Palmilla, one of Cabo’s few swimming beaches.

The Resort at Pedregal It’s impossible not to soak in the relaxing honeymoon vibes at a resort where every room and suite features an infinity-edge plunge pool, perfect for daily dips out on your private terrace overlooking the ocean. Other highlights include: treatments inspired by Mexican folk healing at the Luna y Mar spa, the carved-into-the-rocks El Farallón restaurant, and walkable accessibility to downtown Cabo San Lucas, accessed via the hotel’s private tunnel entrance.

Hotel El Ganzo This unique boutique hotel opened in 2013 and continues to stand out with its artsy offerings. There are in-house artists, performances by world-renowned musicians, and weekly movie nights on the roof. Located at Puerto Los Cabos, the hotel has a rare swimmable beach, two pools (including a rooftop infinity pool), four restaurants, and a spa. Rooms are cool and comfortable and each comes with either an ocean or marina view.

Esperanza, an Auberge Resort Design-conscious and outdoorsy couples will want to make Espernaza their honeymoon home base, if only for the layout of their room: Each has a wall that can disappear, creating an indoor-outdoor flow onto a private veranda with sweeping views of both the Sea of Cortez and Punta Ballena (“Whale Point,” past which humpbacks migrate in winter). Be sure to make time for various activities at the resort, such as tequila tastings, cooking classes, and fitness classes.

Montage Los Cabos The newest kid on the block opened summer 2018 with 122 guest rooms and suites, plus 52 furnished residences. Couples can post up on the shores of Santa Maria Bay—a swimmable beach with reefs for snorkeling just beyond—or by one of the three idyllic pools. Unwind at the 40,000-square-foot full-service SpaMontage, or challenge one another to a round of golf on the Fred Couples-designed course. You can also expect healthy eats: The resort has a partnership with celebrity nutritionist Kelly LeVeque, who helped create balanced restaurant dishes using seasonal ingredients—so you can keep that wedding bod going through the honeymoon.

5 Great Reasons to Honeymoon in Vietnam Right Now

Vietnam – packed with activities and attractions – is quickly becoming an increasingly popular destination for honeymooners.

Below, we’ve listed five of our favorite reasons for newlyweds to take their ultimate vacation there.

1) Four Seasons Resort the Nam Hai

This is easily one of Vietnam’s finest hotels and overall a dream honeymoon spot. Newlyweds will enjoy multiple infinity pools, a mile-long pristine beach, a renowned spa (soon to feature an anti-gravity yoga room), certifiable cooking classes (with fresh food from the hotel’s own garden), and a multitude of daily activities like windsurfing, tai chi, and rice field cycling.

2) Vietnamese Street Food Tours

Treat your tastebuds by indulging in Vietnamese street food. Sour and sweet, crunchy yet soft, soup and salad somehow at the same time, these cheap, quick eats are the best way to taste the culture’s cuisine.

Look for open-air markets, hot steam clouds, and packed seating areas to find the best spots. Ho Chi Minh City offers a world renowned foodie tour where you’ll try the country’s best while being zipped around on the back of a female-driven scooter. Hoi An is also particularly packed with fantastic street food vendors, and easy to enough to navigate your own street food tour.

3) Hiking Adventures in Sapa

Sapa is a mountainous region in Northern Vietnam, and is fast becoming among the best trekking routes in all of Southeast Asia. Home to the tallest mountains in the country, hiking through the peaks and valleys of these many trails gives you a glimpse into hill-tribe villages and a more traditional way of Vietnamese life.

Breathtaking vistas, manicured rice fields and stunning mountain views are in no short supply. Tackle it by yourselves, or book a tour to get more local perspective along the route.

4) Phong Nha Ke Bang National Park

Squeezed between the Laos border and South China Sea, this UNESCO listed national park is teeming with unspoiled jungle, mysterious caves, and underground rivers. Getting there can be a bit difficult, with a lengthy sleeper bus from Hanoi being your best bet, but the kayaking, ziplining, wildlife watching and general trekking are well worth it for adventurous travelers. Oxalis is the best in organizing multi-day hikes and explorations, with sleeping accommodations included.

5) Authentic Culture in Hoi An

This ancient riverside town was a thriving trade port for hundreds of years, and its multi-cultural roots make it a perfect place to experience the fusion of Vietnamese culinary flavors, from street barbecue meats to fresh vegetables, crispy pancakes, and even cau lao, a local noodle specialty from the 17th century.

The scenic homes, Japanese-designed bridges, and meandering boats along the lazy river make leaving the quiet streets of Hoi An’s colorful old town difficult, but historic temples and romantic beaches await just a short bicycle ride away.
